Water Saving
Water Conservation
At Ringwood Community Garden we promote the conservation of water by using deep watering practices and emphasisng the value of mulching to retain moisture and reduce evaporation.
The Bank of Queensland Sponsors Two Additional Tanks
The Bank of Queensland's Ringwood branch has sponsored 2 water tanks as part of the Bank of Queensland's Local Support Scheme. These tanks each hold 2270 litres, effectively doubling our existing storage capacity and supplementing the existing tank by providing much needed water harvesting infrastructure for the Garden.

Partnership with South East Water

In 2007 Ringwood Community Garden successfully sought a sponsorship arrangement with South East Water to install a rainwater tank.
This is an example of South East Water's innovative approach to waterwise gardening.
The partnership involved the supply and installation of a 4500 litre rainwater tank in December 2007. The tank means that roof runoff rainwater that would otherwise have gone to waste will now be stored for use within Ringwood Community Garden.
